We started the business with import of automotive spare parts. Within a few years changed into Office Equipment and Printing Machinery. The company sucessfully marketed FUJI Laminating Machines throughout the island by setting up a network of "Laminating Service Providers" while popularizing the Laminating as a concept with the use of mass media advertising. Subseqently, Binding and Cutting machines were added to the range complementing the Laminating Service. In 1994, Printing Machinery such as Sheerfed Offset Presses, Plate Making Machines (Printing Down Frame),Paper Guillotines and other ancillary equipment were brought in to the range. In 1995,with the introdcution of "DUPLO" Duprinters and Finishing equipment the company made a new milestone.Colt Tarding made "DUPLO" the No.1 brand in Sri Lanka within a very short period. The company managed to change what they called "Duplicating" and "Risography" to "DUPLO PRINTING". Sunsequently,Man Roland Offset Presses, Orient Web offset presses, Perefeta Guillotines and other leading brands in office equipment and printing machinery followed. Today, "Colt" is a very well established company that excel in the industry and a leading player in the Office Euipment and Printing Machinery in Sri Lanka.
